About the Item

A spectacular pair of large armchairs, Modernist, Bauhaus, Constructivist, Reconstruction, very dynamic architectural structures in solid dark oak, astonishing openwork backs, with a single old off-white cushion (to be revisited possibly), between Pierre Guariche and René Gabriel, to be attributed , France 1950. In photographs, these armchairs appear to resemble Pierre Guariche's models for Free-Span, but they are clearly different: larger, bolder and opulent, they are particularly impressive.
