About the Item
The Arreio Armchair is a unique piece, produced with pieces of leather found at free fairs in the hinterland of Alagoas. Its structure is made from leather horse harness, which gives it incomparable resistance and durability.
Cumaru wood is the material used to make the base of the armchair, which makes it even more robust and imposing. The steel rods used to shape the piece are carefully crafted and integrated into the structure of the armchair, ensuring stability.
The leather used to make the Arreio Armchair has a rustic and striking appearance, with its imperfections and natural textures. The piece is full of details that denote its origin and history, making each copy unique and special. The cushions are made of linen fabric, which gives the set a perfect harmony.
With the Arreio Armchair, it is possible to have a true work of art at home, produced with high quality materials and with a craftsmanship that translates into every detail of the piece. In addition, the armchair is a tribute to the culture of the hinterland of Alagoas and its craftsmen, who transform apparently simple materials into true masterpieces.
Arreio Collection
A collection of experimental design with elements found in street markets in the hinterland of Alagoas, northeastern Brazil. It was created by giving new uses to traditional cowboy tools, such as whips that are used to drive cattle in the field and leather belts to hang stirrups on horses. The Collection launched at Salone Satellite 23 contains three pieces, the Rebenque Light produced with leather whips, the Arreio Armchair made in Cumaru wood, steel rods and natural leather straps used to attach bells to the necks of cows, and finally, the Cabra Lamp, a pendant lamp made with harnesses traditionally used to guide goats.

Tavinho Camerino
Tavinho Camerino, from Alagoas, Northeast Brazil
The only representative from Brazil to have his pieces exhibited at the
Salone Satellite, at the Milan Design Week, in 2022 and 2023, designer
Tavinho Camerino gained prominence and notoriety in the segment at a
national and international level. Illustrating the covers of highly regarded
magazines and portals such as journal La Repubblica, Interior Design
Magazine, Casa & Jardim, Casa Claudia, Home Cuix, Design Milk,
Estadão, Daily Hind News, the artist from Alagoas now takes off on new
flights. The integration of new elements to existing items is a designer trademark. Tavinho Camerino transits through the industrial universe, at the same time that he highlights the knowledge and techniques of handcrafting.
Tavinho Camerino's journey with furniture design began in 2017, when he
was still an architecture student. From the very beginning, he was
interested in combining traditional materials and techniques from artisans
from Alagoas with industrial innovations. So much so that, among his initial
creations, there were pieces in coconut wood with iron, produced with
artisans from São Miguel dos Milagres (AL).
