Chippendale Bamboo and Wicker Armchair by Vivai Del Sud, Italy, 1970s
About the Item
An armchair produced in Italy by the historic Roman company "Vivai Del Sud" during the 70s in the Chinese Chippedale style.
The strong thick bamboo rods are knotted with rattan and reproduce sinuous curves and geometric designs typical of British Chinoiseries.
The armchair is in excellent vintage condition, but the (removable) pillow has been replaced with new padding and a fabric reminiscent of the original one used.
