Chippendale Style Hand Carved Armchair, circa 1900

About the Item

The circa 1900 Chippendale style mahogany armchair has hand carved designs including a back combining a motive of ribbons, a rosette, tassel and leaves. The arms end with eagle heads supported by uprights decorated with acanthus leaves. The front legs end with the traditional balls in claws. The chair lends itself to a library desk, office or added seating in the living room. Chippendale dining chair, dining arm chair. Measures: Arm height - 30".Dimensions: H 44.25" x W 28" x D 24.5" Condition: In need of reupholstery; soiling and tears. Some nicks, dings, and wear.
