- Condition:Reupholstered. Replacements made: The seat covering appears to have been replaced at some point in the 19th century by a hand embroidered 'gros-point' fabric panel. Repaired: Early conservation as observed to the backs of the stiles & across the lower rail / shoe. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. The frame is structurally stable and quite functional, and retains a very old surface with a fine old patina. The frames overall condition & attention to conservation is consistent given it's use over the course of 300 years.
