Gino Levi Montalcini & Giuseppe Pagano, Curved Back Armchair, c. 1928

About the Item

An armchair designed by Gino Levi Montalcini & Giuseppe Pagano for the Palazzo Gualino in Turin (1928-1930), a project that encompassed the architecture and furniture for an entire office building, realizing what was the new rationalist style in Italy. Documented in Domus, no. 30, June 1930, pp. 6, 70-73, 75-76, 78-79 (special issue dedicated to the Palazzo Gualino). Includes newly made thin seat cushion upholstered in grass-green calf-skin hide.
