About the Item
Available today, this one-of-a-kind Brazilian Modern Armchairs in Hardwood & Beige Leather by Bureau Moveis in the sixties are nothing less than gorgeous!
The armchairs feature a wood structure in solid Jacaranda (Brazilian rosewood) and the seats/cushions are in smooth Italian beige leather.
This set perfectly represents the Brazilian Modernist movement and the architects hired to design and furnish the new capital Brasilia in 1960: Clean and straight lines, exuberant Brazilian Jacaranda and is extremely comfortable.
These pieces belonged to Infraero, the government institution responsible for airports in Brazil. So, if you are looking for a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece with history behind, look no further!
The set is showcased in our showroom next to a Sergio Rodrigues sofa, a Giuseppe Scapinelli coffee table and a Jorge Jabour club chair and the set looks nothing less than spectacular.
A versatile pair like these flexes into any Mid-Century Modern, Modern or Contemporary, Transitional, or even Hollywood Regency environment.
The set was produced by Bureau Moveis, and is another example of the excellent design and woodwork in Brazil from the 1960’s.
