Norbert Wangen, folding armchair, model 'Attila', lacquered ash, metal, Germany, 1995.
Contemporary folding armchair model 'Attila' in black lacquered ash designed by the German designer Norbert Wangen (1962). Its inventive frame contains multiple wooden slats which are connected with metal joints. Result; a striking geometrical coherence. The whole can be folded down to one rectangular flat piece, an easy object to transport. Nowadays, the 'Attila' armchair is part of the collection at the Neue Sammlung in Munich and the Vitra Museum in Weil am Rhein.
