About the Item
Opulent pair of regency style armchairs or library chairs crafted from fine walnut by Dessin Fournir. The Alexandria chairs feature a gracefully curved barrel back form with an exposed solid wood frame. The walnut frames are upholstered with a striped fabric having a cadet blue shimmery velvet fabric. The upholstery is bordered by patinated brass tack nail heads. The generous seat has curved arms ending with scrolls. The arms measure 25 inches high. Bespoke chairs custom ordered from Dessin Fournir in San Francisco. The chairs are heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The chairs have a distinctive profile with gentle wings on the back. The seat is supported by tapered, saber legs. From an estate in San Francisco, California. Sold as a pair.
