About the Item

Dress a living room with this elegant pair of antique armchairs. Crafted in France circa 1870, each "Fauteuil a Oreilles" (aka ear shape), sits on fluted and tapered and feet with medallions at the shoulder, over a bombe carved apron, each chair features a tall arched and curved back decorated with hand carved acanthus leaf motifs, and embellished with ear shape sides for further comfort, each piece with two curved armrests, is upholstered with a beige and pale blue heavy cotton fabric with geometric and floral motifs and solid beige velvet on the back side (two down filled cushions). Both armchairs are in excellent condition with a rich rubbed and patinated off-white painted finish. Measures: 28.5" W x 30" D x 42.5" H.
