Pair of Leather Armchairs by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto, Italy 1985

About the Item

In this listing you will find a pair of very rare leather armchairs designed by Italian duo Afra and Tobia Scarpa. The armchairs were manufactured by Maxalto as a part of their Artona Collection in the mid 80s, and is known as Model 8552. They feature round structure done in layered, curved plywood with low armrests, all together covered in quilted, dark green leather. Maxalto manufactured two versions of this armchair - Model 8551 (without the wheels) and Model 8552 (with the wheels). In addition to this pair, you can find set of four armchairs in black among my other listings. Good vintage condition. Minor scratches could be found on the sides. When purchased, armchairs will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport. As soon as shipped you will receive the tracking details for your purchase.
