France, circa 1770. ​ A charming pair of late Louis XV period fauteuils, the kidney shaped backs of simple outline supported on neoclassical fluted tapering legs. Each armchair stamped on the rails N.S.Courtois (Nicolas Simon Courtois master 1766 - Paris). Measures: Height (34 1/2 inches) 87.00cm, width (24 inches) 61.00cm, depth (20 1/2 inches) 52.00cm.
