About the Item

A pair of Swedish Jugend chairs, crafted from painted pine in a soft grey-white hue with contrasting black feet. The design is clean and understated, featuring semicircular seats, gently curved backrests, and vertical slats. The original striped cushions are preserved and included. The chairs bear a strong resemblance to pieces designed by Alfred Grenander for his home in Skåne Sweden around 1900, embodying the Nordic interpretation of Jugend / Art Nouveau—functional, lightweight, and elegantly simple. Sweden, circa 1900
