Pieces of Pneumatics turned into an Assembled Arm Chair

About the Item

This special piece showcases the possibility of crafting a sitting chair with an complemental material - the use of vulcanized rubber used for road tire purposes. Sustainability mindful due to the impact of the hard recycling at the time when the end of service life of tires meant that they were to pile up on the next landfill, where they were very difficult to decompose. Since this is a indoor crafted seating piece, not exposed to the elements and UV lighting it is in very good presentation and seating capabilities. It will make an impact on any décor due to its rugged and unassuming compostion. Gladly we are able to recycle tires today , but this mean that the attempts in recreating this unique pieces is hardly to come by.

The topic of the "Atlas sculpture" typically refers to statues or sculptures depicting Atlas, a figure from Greek mythology. In Greek mythology, Atlas was a Titan condemned by Zeus to bear the weight of the heavens on his shoulders for eternity. The punishment was a consequence of Atlas leading the Titans in their war against the Olympian gods.
