Antique Pair of French Provincial Turned Wood Arm Chairs with Rush Seats

About the Item

Late 19th c., a pair of French Provincial turned wood arm chairs with rush seats. Antique pair of French Provincial chairs crafted from solid wood. Constructed with traditional carved backs with finials and spindle supports. The chairs showcase a buttery naturally aged patina. The seats are covered with a hand-woven rush in intact condition. The chairs are raised on straight legs conjoined by turned wood stretchers. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship and a classic European farmhouse profile. Dimensions: 32"h x 24 "w x 16"d Condition: Good, nice old finish, wood surface showing typical wear for age and use, rushed seats with minor surface wear, seats intact. Some evidence of old insect damage on legs.
