Antique Pair of French Provincial Ladder Back Chairs with Rush Seats

About the Item

19th c., a pair of French Provincial ladder back chairs with rush seats. Antique pair of French Provincial chairs crafted from solid wood. Constructed with traditional long, carved ladder backs with finials. The chairs showcase a buttery naturally aged patina. The seats are covered with a hand-woven rush in intact condition. The chairs are raised on straight legs conjoined by double bobbin turned wood front and side stretchers. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship and a classic European farmhouse profile. Dimensions: 42"h x 19.5 "w x 18"d Condition: Good, nice old finish, wood surface showing typical wear for age and use, rushed seats with minor surface wear, seats intact.
