About the Item

Iconic "Esfera" armchair designed by Ricardo Fasanell which is now in the MOMASF (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) collection. Made of fiberglass and polyester resin and leather upholstery. Rotating base. This piece is original from the late 1960s. The "Esfera" armchair is one of the masterpieces of Brazilian designer Ricardo Fasanello. With a shape and volume that will not fail to be used in any room, the influence of the space age is clear on this beauty. The pivoting base offers extra flexibility. Our piece is a very rare model exhibited at the "Salon du Design 1975, Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro"; it comes from the Fasanello family. Ricardo Fasanello was born in São Paulo in 1930, and at the age of 14, he was already designing and building boats as a hobby. This original vintage piece from the late 1960s has a slight wear of the fiberglass finish.
