Rodeio Armchair, by Jean Gillon in Hardwood. Brazilian Midcentury Modern

About the Item

The Rodeio armchair is an iconic piece that perfectly represents the main characteristics of Brazilian design as a school. It is one of the most outstanding creations of Jean Gillon, a Romanian artist who has left an indelible mark on Brazilian design. The piece is not only remarkable for its stunning design, but also for its exceptional comfort and solid Brazilian hardwood structure. The armchair's design is both modern and timeless, with clean lines and a bold shape that exude sophistication and elegance. The piece's remarkable ergonomic features, along with its soft cushions, make it one of the most comfortable chairs you will ever sit in. This armchair was restored by one of our best craftsmen in São Paulo, who has managed to preserve its original aura and attraction. Every inch of the armchair was carefully restored to its original glory, so it's ready to grace your home with its unmistakable style. Jean Gillon moved to São Paulo in 1956 and his love for Brazil, its natural resources, and culture, was reflected in his work. Jacaranda Brazilian rosewood was a material often used in his pieces, and it gives the Rodeio armchair its remarkable texture and character. The Rodeio armchair is a perfect example of Brazilian design as a school. It is a piece that combines style and comfort, beauty and functionality. This armchair is a must-have for those who appreciate design that is not only beautiful, but also functional and comfortable. It is a true gem that will add a touch of elegance to any interior.
