About the Item

This exceptional pair of armchairs designed by Cimo in the 1950’s feature a structure made in Imbuia wood (a favorite of CImo) and boucle. The unique pair has a separate seat and backrest that seem to float over the sculptural curved solid wood structure. The arms are hinged to the seat and are also made in wood and boucle. We also offer complimentary upholstery in any of our beautiful fabrics. The silhouette and overall design is typical of the time, representing Cimo’s commitment to quality and design. The wood on this piece has been expertly refinished and is in excellent condition. It has been reupholstered in the soft, red boucle. This piece was quite popular in the fifties and was featured countless times in decoration magazines of the time in Brazil. Attached some vintage publications featuring the same chair but without arms. We could break the set in case there's interest in purchasing only one armchair.
