The Set of Three Original 18th Century Louis XVI Gold Gilded Armchairs
About the Item
This magnificent set of three French antique Louis XVI (ca 1770) gold gilded armchairs originated from the region of Avignon. These stunning original armchairs are elegant and characterising an epoch –most of the furniture of this time was made for Queen Marie Antoinette, Palace of Versailles, Tuileries Palace and other Royal residences. Made by the finest craftsmen of its time these chairs have refine capricious gilded ornaments on the top and bottom of the seat, straight legs which is typical for Louis XVI period and silk upholstery. They are not completely identical, - each has its own beautiful unique design but alll three of them are upholstered with the same exquisite 100% Silk Material. The extremely fine and detailed work of these three armchairs is exceptional making these Fauteuils look truly Royal.
