This elegant pair of mid-century modern armchairs, attributed to Finnish design pioneer Alvar Aalto, dates to the 1940s and reflects the early ideals of Scandinavian modernism. Merging functional comfort with sculptural form, these chairs embody Aalto’s innovative approach to human-centric design.
The frames are crafted from laminated bentwood—an early use of molded plywood construction—finished in a refined black lacquer.
