We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning early Victorian circa 1860 solid mahogany velvet upholstered Lion Hairy paw feet suite A very good looking extremely comfortable and decorative suite, the Lion hairy paw feet are based on an early 17th century design, they are a rare and collectable attribute on seated furniture, during the Georgian Irish period some of the most collectable wingback armchairs in the world had Lion Hairy paw feet The suite was reupholstered in the green velour velvety upholstery a few years ago, it has some marks here and there consistent with honest use and genuine age The frames are all 100% solid and sound, each piece has a traditional Victorian coil sprung base with long oversized feather filled cushions, this is one of the finest quality suites you will see I can have the whole suite upholstered in plain russet leather and hand dyed brown for cost price, if this is something you would be interested in please ask me for a price Armchair dimensions Height 79 cm Width 81 cm Depth 96 cm Sofa dimensions Height 79 cm Width 149.5 cm Depth 96 cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
