9.5' 1940's American Maple Bowling Alley Bench
About the Item
The American Bowling Congress was the first nationally recognized organization for bowling. It was founded in 1895 in New York City, and set the basic specifications for the rules and equipment of the ten-pin sport, used to this day.
With the invention of the automatic pinsetter in 1936, bowling alley construction boomed in the 40's, 50's, and 60's.
