About the Item

A rare and exceptional English Regency mahogany hall bench in the manner of Tatham & Marsh. This bench is a fine example of English furniture of this period with its classic Roman architecturally influenced lines and lovely original condition. The generously deep rectangular seat with moulded inset has a bold form, it’s flanked with flowing bolstered ends, which are faced with turned roundels, resting on elegant flat faced, tapering fluted legs.
