About the Item
The Bisou bench was designed for the 2022 Under the Sea exhibition at Maison Lapparra in Paris. Constructed from solid wood, the piece combines two different crafts: resin and ceramics. Made in Paris by master painters, the piece is covered in a layer of shiny resin that is as transparent as a glossy, icy lava stone. The vintage lamp from Vallauris was then cast in sequined resin on the bench top, as if it had washed up on the bench, leaving a coloured trace of its passage.
