About the Item
The scalloped top rail of this stately box bench might be better described as “rippled” or “wavy” as it sits above the long flat panel that, with the bottom rail, constitutes the back. The integral arms and legs stand straight, then scroll gently at the armrest, above the three plain spindles framed by the arms. The wide seat is 19.5” high and lifts on iron hinges to reveal a deep storage well, divided into two equal compartments.
