18th Century Spanish Pine Settle

About the Item

A superb 18th century settle in pine. With shapely curved arms and a high backrest featuring three large panels with molded edges that rest on a generous bench seat. A central table on a wooden hinge folds down from the backrest and securely rests on the bench seat. Raised on four block feet. Great colour and finish to the original timbers on this fully un-restored survivor. Acquired from a convent in Catalonia that shut its doors in 2016. Catalonia, circa 1750.
