Early 18th Century Oak Stool

About the Item

A charming 18th-century low oak stool. The characterful two-plank top is raised upon four sweeping turned legs finishing on block feet and united by a peripheral stretcher. Great colour and patination with an interesting branding or carving to the plank top which is possibly the initials of the maker. Very strong and sturdy and ready to serve for another two hundred and fifty years. English, circa 1780. TOTAL H: 41 CM H: 16.1 INCHES W: 49 CM W: 19.2 INCHES D: 43 CM D: 16.9 INCHES
