A very good looking well made and decorative suite of chairs. In truth, I have never seen a suite of four before, they usually turn up as singles and are rare survivors. This suite has lovely mother of pearl inlay, some great gold leaf painting and the original ebonised finish. The seats are early rattan, three are still very tight
Condition wise is period correct, there are some light age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect, they are just over 200 years old
