About the Item
A set of six elegant and exceptional Swedish chairs from the Gustavian period, two of which are marked by Melchior Lundberg, a chairmaker in Stockholm (1714-1816). Woodcut decoration, rectangular backrest with ribbon braid decoration, corner rosettes, straight serges with ribbon braid, tapered and fluted legs, painted in a greenish pearl grey with an exceptional patina. The upholstery has not been renewed and shows signs of use.
