19th Century Fine Biedermeier Walnut Chair. Vienna, c. 1825.

Hello, This rare and elegant Biedermeier walnut chair was made in Vienna circa 1825. Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design, excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design. The Biedermeier furniture is characterized by straight lines, simple forms and absence of decorative embellishments. The chair has a lovely walnut veneer accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina. It sits well and is very comfortable. The upholstery beautifully emphasizes the warm amber shade of the walnut wood. Many good pieces of contemporary furniture do not have the same innovative and sophisticated design as this 200 year old chair. This only shows the great role that Biedermeier still has in the world of antiques. Biedermeier will never get old. The construction of the piece is very solid and steady.
