This is an original steel EA 107 model office chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra. It was designed in 1958 and made in 2005. The chair is in excellent vintage condition, the seat part is dark gray mesh, the frame is chrome-plated steel. This chair contains labels as attribution of originality.
The Aluminium Group chairs are the best-known designs of Charles and Ray Eames. They were born in 1958 and are among the classics of 20th century design history.
An important feature of the Aluminium Chair is the clever combination of materials. Its form is clean and transparent, its structure clearly visible. Aluminum profiles give the chair stability and lightness at the same time. In the side parts, the upholstery is attached and tensioned, adapting to the structure and providing great comfort even without voluminous padding. The upholstery is not a shell, but part of the structure.
