As seen in: Sight Unseen, Interior Design Magazine, Surface Magazine BLOC Cube Chair is part of a five-piece collection of sculptural upholstered and mixed-material furniture. BLOC Collection draws inspiration from familiar geometric shapes often associated with children’s play blocks, such as a cube, wedge, triangle, and cylinder. These shapes and geometries are highlighted by their material contrast - transparency versus solidity, softness versus hardness, and textured and imperfect versus smooth and fine. Unconventional material additions such as transparent lucite blocks transform familiar shapes associated with childhood and play into elevated sculptural objects and provide functionality and comfort from otherwise abstract geometric forms. BLOC Cube Chair can be used as a side chair, dining chair, or general accent chair. Materials include: Fabric upholstery, clear lucite block backrest, wood and foam structure. Lucite backrest secures into a slot in place carefully designed for its size, weight, and friction. FABRIC INFORMATION: Fabric Feel: Soft, low to medium pile Wear Rating: 100,000 Double Rubs (smooth); 50,000 Double Rubs (textured) Content: 100% Crypton Polyester Certifications: CA Bulletin-117-Class 1, CA Prop 65 Compliant , GREENGUARD Gold Certified, NFPA 260 - Class 1, UFAC - Class 1 COM orders: sample submit prior to order Size or upholstery can be customizable upon request.
