About the Item

Iconic stackable High-quality solid wooden beech chairs model 3300 designed by Bruno Rey, manufacturer: Kusch & Co in Germany, Manufacturer's labels attached to the bottom of each chair. The design that emerged from a period experimentation was model 3300, the Rey chair, which became one of the most iconic pieces of Swiss industrial design. Made of local beech wood, was constructed with a unique, screw-less metal-to-wood connection. It went into serial production in 1971 and was the first chair to be patented by Dietiker a year later. Offer in sets of six chairs. 15 sets available. Bruno Rey (1935–2019) was a Swiss industrial designer, best known for the Rey chair model 3300, one of the most successful Swiss chairs of all time. Chairs are in a very good solid stable vintage condition - sturdy and ready to use as they are. They show some signs of time and use in form of surface scratches.
