About the Item
The inspiration for the Euphoria chair was the general feeling of euphoria with the post-pandemic reopening: optimism with the idea of change towards a new, more egalitarian, technological and sustainable world.
The visual language references Art Deco, drawing a parallel between the current moment and that period, in which there was also great excitement about the social, cultural and technological changes of the early 20th century.
The need to rethink materials and propose sustainable solutions, led to the application in the back of the chair of a material produced from recycled PP in an open source process called "Precious Plastic".
The "Precious Plastic" process was developed in the Netherlands and is now applied worldwide. It feeds a circular and sustainable chain that starts with the work of the collectors, and goes through grinding, heating and pressing. Each piece is unique, as the texture of the panels varies.
