About the Item
A Georgian period, elm and oak country chair, dating from the late 18th century. Solid elm frame with oak plank seat.
Quality totally original chair without damages or repairs. Very well presented and ready for use.
Dimensions:
This chair measures approximately 90 cm (35.5") tall, 48 cm (19") wide, and 40 cm (15.75") deep. The seat height is approximately 44.5 cm (17.5").
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good totally original condition and is structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks, blemishes and wear on the frame. No loose joints. No obvious signs of repair or damage. A few historic and now extinct old worm holes, typical of old elm, which have been treated by way of precaution, and do not affect the sturdiness of the chairs on any way. Lovely aged patina, good colour and pleasing wax polish throughout. This chair have been through the workshop and have been sensitively cleaned and waxed, and are very much ready to be used. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
