An Irish vernacular Boat Builders chair.
A beautifully made chair of excellent form & colour, the thick slab seat raised on four turned legs & supporting the unique back rest with steam bent 'ribs'. A beautiful, timeless & high quality piece of Irish furniture & not at all common.
Based on an early 18th century design with this example dating to the 20th century.
Excellent condition with great colour, wants for nothing, a rare thing in great order.
