Italian Gilt X Frame Curule Stool Circa 1800

About the Item

This is a stunning Italian gilt X frame curule stool circa 1800. It features deep bold crisply carved lions heads, paws, corners scrolls and side rails. The gilding is slightly worn but untouched, it retains its original silk seat cushion and armrests. This is a real statement piece.

    Wear consistent with age and use. The joints are all firm, the gilding is slightly worn. The silk seat cushion and armrests are also original and slightly worn, a few of the tassels which hang from the armrest are missing.
