About the Item

Set of four chairs designed by Jordi Vilanova i Bosch in Barcelona around 1960. Modern lines inspired by popular Mediterranean tradition. Original condition, with resistant wooden structure and seat and backrest in fiber rush. Jordi Vilanova (1925-1988) worked intensively on the creation of modern furniture inspired by the tradition of Catalan and Mediterranean furniture, both alone and leading the multidisciplinary group "la Cantonada" (1960-1975), formed by the ceramist Jordi Aguadé , the architect Jordi Bonet, the jeweller Aureli Bisbe and the stained glasser and painter Joan Vila-Grau. The chairs are ready to be used.
