Louis XVI French Neoclassical Armchair

About the Item

Incorporate a hint of French provincial style and class. Original solid wood frame artisan crafted with rich, sturdy walnut. Professionally reupholstered in a clean, crisp white damask fabric. Exquisitely hand-carved detail showcasing traditional Roman/Greek Neoclassical design elements including fluted columns, floral medallions, and elaborate ornamentation. With a 16" slipper chair seat height, this is an excellent choice for the boudoir either as an accent chair or seated in front of the vanity. Complements many styles of décor gravitating toward clean lines and neutral color schemes. Made in France. Late 18th century circa 1770-1780 Fine antique condition with brand new upholstery. Only minor wear on frame displaying normal to occasional use commensurate with age. Sturdy and structurally sound. Please examine photos carefully for details.
