About the Item

Mid Century Modern set of four Mito chairs by Carlo Bartoli for Tisettanta. These chairs are extremely light weight and made from one bent plywood sheet with beech frame. Carlo Bartoli (1931–2018) was an Italian designer known for his contributions to industrial design and furniture. He played a significant role in the post-war Italian design movement, and his work often combined functionality with a modern aesthetic.Bartoli studied at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence and began his professional career in the 1950s. Over the years, he collaborated with various Italian and international companies, creating a wide range of products, including furniture, lighting, and household items. While Bartoli's physical presence is no longer with us, his impact on design and his legacy continue through the influence of his work.
