Wonderful modern Lucite chair attributed to Shlomi Haziza for H. Studio with graduating back slats in colors of transparent lavender, teal, pink, and blue with original off-white vinyl upholstery. Gorgeous condition with minor wear as you would expect with a vintage piece. The vinyl seat does have some smaller flaws, and most will want to recover. And there are a few tiny bubbles where the color fusion process took place which are not flaws but inherent of the constructions process. It is priced accordingly. What a lovely, lively, lucite chair we have to offer to you!!! In the style Attributed to Shlomi Haziza for H. Studio, this is a brilliant Lucite chair with an exclusive graduated or tapered back slat design in rainbow colors of transparent lavender, teal, soft pink, and blue. The seat wears its original off-white vinyl upholstery and connects the larger trapezoid shaped clear back leg and the four back slats to the seat creating a unique design that is both functional and attractive. The front legs are clear straight slats and the edge of the base of the seat is also clear Lucite. It is just stunning. It would make a vibrant edition to a sitting room that needs a splash of color or blend in beautifully with any modern or contemporary room in your home. It would be a beautiful accent chair in a girl’s bedroom…maybe at her vanity or makeup area. WOW!!!! What a gorgeous tomato red streamline modern cantilever chair!!!! Attributed to KEM Weber for Lloyd’s Manufacturing and categorized in many design styles; Art Deco, Machine Age, Streamline Modern, Art Moderne, and Bauhaus. Too many awesome styles to choose just one… So, you pick!! This chair is comprised of a tubular chrome cantilever frame and is upholstered in a bright and beautiful red vinyl faux leather that demands attention. This piece has no tag or markings but is done in the style of the era’s greats: Gilbert Rohde, Wolfgang Hoffman, Warren McArthur, Donald Desky, Alfons Bach, Gilbert Rhode, Marcel Breuer, and from online searches attributed to KEM Weber for Lloyd’s Manufacturing. It doesn’t get much better than that!! You could use this fabulous chair in your living room, bedroom, sitting room, or kitchen. KEM Weber (1889-1963) was a German-born architect and furniture designer. His birth name was Karl Emanuel Martin Weber but in 1914, he changed his first name to a less German sounding, 'Kem' when he became stranded in the USA after the outbreak of the First World War. Kem Architecture was part of the West Coast Modernist movement in America. His designs included many projects and products in Streamline Modern, a form of Art Deco design and architecture that was extremely popular in the USA and Europe in the 1930s. Handsome vintage Modern discontinued Bulldog Armed Side Chairs by Michael McCoy & Dale Fahnstrom for Knoll with black cantilever bases and blue fabric 12 total. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are minor scuffs on all frames and arms. Please see photos and zoom in for details. Michael McCoy along with his wife Katherine McCoy was the recipient of the Smithsonian’s first Design Minds National Design Award. His designs include the Horizon LED Light for Humanscale with Peter Stathis, the million selling “Bulldog Chair” for Knoll and the Place Airport Seating for Arconas with Curt Fentress. He has received many international design awards for his work for Humanscale, Knoll, Philips, Steelcase and NEC including Germany’s Red Dot Award, the IDSA Gold Award, The Spark Award, London’s FX Award, the ID Magazine Best of Category, the IBD Award and The Interiors Magazine Best Office Design. He was principal in McCoy & McCoy Inc. in Colorado and Fahnstrom/McCoy Design Consultants in Chicago, he was Co-chair of the Design Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art for 23 years. His strategies for interpreting technology and information through design form have been widely published and he lectures internationally on the subject.
Dale Fahnstrom graduated with a BFA and MFA in Industrial Design, in 1962 and 1965, from the University of Illinois, Champaign.
