Rare modernist side chair by L.O.V. Oosterbeek, the Netherlands 1921. L.O.V. is an abbreviation of Labor Onia Vincit which means 'Work conquers all', L.O.V. was and an idealistic furniture factory. L.O.V. was founded in 1910, since the naming Frits Spanjaard as artistic director the took a different architectural path. The chair is constructed out of solid stained Oak with a very progressive deign approach for that time. The four legs are placed in different angles and the back has an asymmetrical angle, causing into a very modernist result. Highly collectible piece in very good original condition, signed with label on the bottom. In excellent original condition.
