Pair of Italian 19th Century Renaissance St. Walnut Chairs

About the Item

A handsome and most decorative pair of Italian 19th century Renaissance st. walnut chairs. Each chair is raised by richly carved paw feet below the elegantly scrolled supports decorated with beautiful foliate designs set on most decorative carved textured backgrounds. The seats display cut corners with carved notched bands at the borders and most decorative central Fleur de Lys. The scalloped shaped back supports display additional beautiful scrolled designs amidst rosettes, top palmettes, and central richly carved foliate designs set on the same carved textured backgrounds. All original patina throughout. Measure: Seat height: 18".
