A highly decorative African Lobi chair, crafted in Burkina Faso during the 1940s. This type of stool / chair was for individual use and marked the social rank of its owner.
Carved from sturdy hardwood, possibly from indigenous trees like shea or African teak, the Lobi Chair features a minimalist design with a reclined backrest and a sturdy seat.
A beautiful wabi sabi object with a fine patina. Perfect as a decorative chair for modern interior.
