About the Item

This set of eight chairs was designed by Gastão Machado for Móveis Olaio, Portugal, in 1978. Gastão Machado designed this model for young people's room, however its detachable molded plywood structure also allowed it to be used quite successfully in restaurants and coffee shops. The structure is in acacia and it has the original cognac synthetic leather. The set is in a good vintage condition, with some signs of wear consistent with age and use.

The most involved repair includes dowls and can be seen in the photos provided. There are also scratches, nicks and other smaller crack repairs present (all of which can be seen clearly in the detail photos provided). With that said the solid teak frames and legs are in overall very good shape and the woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light.
