Set of four dining chairs, solid pine, Europe, 1960s
Sculpted dining chairs in expressively grained pine. Multiple features characterize the sculpted look of this set of twelve chairs. Firstly, the polygonal shaped backrest and seat that are parted in two pieces. This lined gap is highlighted with a round shape in the backrest. The look of the chairs implies a robust touch, yet the way the four tapered legs lift up the chair is a more elegant detail. Looking from the back, the chair honestly shows the connective details between the elements, such as the way backrest and seat are interlocked.
