  • Set of Six Italian Vintage Chairs in Wood and Dark Green Leather
    Located in Milano, IT
Lovely set composed of six wooden chairs designed in the 50's, of fine Italian manufacture. The structure of the chairs is linear, with four supporting legs, with a pointed shape, while the back is straight with a slightly curved cut of the wood. The chairs are entirely made of light wood in the frame, while dark green leather in the seat. The seat and back are connected: in fact, the leather upholstery rises from the seat to the middle of the back, giving a unique touch to the seat. The leather is fixed to the structure by means of round brass studs in patina, typically vintage. Another peculiarity of the chair is the shape of the top of the backrest, which sees the woodwork at the two ends create two soft indentations, while the middle part goes down more, creating a beautiful ornament. The shape of the chair seat is also peculiar, as towards the outside it becomes more pointed and the wood also tapers, while going towards the center of the seat the wood is thicker and strengthened. The chairs are very beautiful and are ideal for furnishing vintage...

  • Renè Drouet, important set of six chairs in wood and white bouclé
    By René Drouet
    Located in Milano, IT
Important and Magnificent set six chairs designed by the great French interior designer Renè Drouet from the 1930s, specifically from 1938. The set is an important composition of chairs also published in the 1938 Asembles Mobiliers catalog. Their frame is lacquered wood, with a freshly refreshed seat and back in white bouclé. The restoration that has taken place has not affected the originality of the seat at all, and its original form and interior have not been altered. Of great thickness, the chairs have an innovative design with soft shapes and rounded lines. In fact it may look like a contemporary line, but the French designer through these forms clearly anticipated the times! It can also be traced back to an innovative Renè Drouet Art Deco line, where the black wood typical of French Art Deco, highlights the futuristic soft lines. Its armrests made of tubular wood...

  • Zig Zag Chair by Gerrit Rietveld for Cassina, 1970s
    By Cassina, Gerrit Rietveld
    Located in Antwerp, BE
'Zig Zag Chair,' originally designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in 1934 and relaunched by Cassina in Italy in 1973 and 2011. This contemporary edition features striking red with white sides, emphasizing the interplay of vertical, oblique, and horizontal lines. With its innovative cantilevered design, the chair consists of four wood boards intricately joined to create a visually captivating yet unstable structure. Departing from traditional seating arrangements, Rietveld crafted a ribbon-like form resembling a 'Z'. Cassina's expert carpenters showcased their skill through precise dove-tail joints, enhancing the chair's aesthetic appeal. This colored wooden lacquer version is one of several variations by Rietveld. One available and in perfect condition. Gerrit Thomas Rietveld (24 June 1888 – 25 June 1964) was a Dutch furniture designer and architect. One of the principal members of the Dutch artistic movement called De Stijl, Rietveld is famous for his red and blue chair and for the Rietveld Schröder House...
