Your typical vintage (c1900’s) French Louis XVI style side chairs always seemed like the seat-backs were designed too vertical, the seat bottoms too shallow and too narrow. The French Louis XVI style chair you see listed on 1stdibs, was authentically copied from an original c1800’ s French Louis XVI dining chair, that we purchased out of the Chateau de I’ Oise in France.
