‘Beautiful Dreamer’ Chaise Lounge by Ben Seibel, USA 1950s
By Ben Seibel
Located in Chicago, IL
A rare ‘Beautiful Dreamer’ chaise lounge designed by Ben Seibel in the 1950s. This lounge has an elongated curved seat and a dramatically angled back with three tufts and welt detailing. It was newly reupholstered in a pale gray wool blend fabric and stands on four black tapered wooden legs with petite ball feet. USA, 1950s. Ben Seibel (1918-1985) was an American industrial designer recognized for popularizing sculptural tableware in American homes across the nation. Seibel was born in New Jersey and studied sculpture and painting before pursuing architecture at Columbia University. He left school to serve in WWII and never completed his schooling. After the war, he set up his own studio and began to create his own dinnerware, glassware and tabletop accessories. He eventually created lines for Iroquois...

MCM Streamline Modern Industrial Royal Blue Vinyl & Chrome Adjustable Chaise
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome streamline modern, Mid-Century Modern, or Industrial style royal blue & vinyl or faux leather and chrome chaise or daybed with adjustable head or back rest. Wonderful condition keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so there will be signs of wear & use. The beautiful original royal blue vinyl has some nicks, holes, & dings, specifically on the four corners, which have been repaired. One of the chrome legs has pitting that has been polished & touched up. And there is a small 1/4 “cut” in the main pad area which we felt was better left alone. Some may want to recover but repairs are minor & look great, so it is priced accordingly. Please see photos & zoom in for details. We attempt to portray imperfections. Circa mid-20th-late 20th century. Note: The vinyl has been treated with lexol and is ready to use. No dust cover as legs are easily removeable for transporting & storage. However, dust cover is an optional add if you prefer. We are “So Tangled Up in Blue….” Oh, wait…That’s a Bob Dylan song!! Well, anyway, How about this AWESOME royal blue chaise...

Vladimir Kagan Post Modern Scallop Chaise Lounge in Soft Ivory White Bouclé
By Vladimir Kagan, Directional
Located in Saint Louis, MO
All enveloping luxurious comfort best describes this sexy Post Modern Chaise Lounge designed by Vladimir Kagan for Directional newly professionally upholstered in highly durable super soft ivory white bouclé. Famous for his use of curves and amorphous shapes in furnishings, this Vladimir Kagan scallop form chaise lounge has an inviting profile and shape that beckons. The inner walls of the chaise provide all enveloping comfort with wide upholstered channels angled down towards the foot of the chaise. The channels - along with the texture of the ivory white bouclé - ventilate naturally keeping you cozy in winter and cool in summer. Unlike traditional chaise lounges that allow one to recline but are not typically plush, this Vladimir Kagan chaise is the antithesis. Super comfortable seat back, tall upholstered arm rests, thick cushioned seat, and angled upholstered side. Chic, sexy and luxurious. Works for all activities - naughty or nice - at all hours of the day. Enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee while catching up on emails or reading the latest headlines. Take an afternoon nap. Cozy up with a good book and a glass of wine, phone a friend and catch up or work on your laptop. Activities will be enjoyed all the more reclined atop this Vladimir Kagan Scallop Chaise Lounge...
